The Goulburn Valley Writers' Group Is an association of people who meet regularly to encourage the creative
writing of its members and to promote the art of quality creative
writing in the community.
Kerry and Sergio
The group meets each month to hear and comment on the writings of its members. This strategy encourages members to keep writing and to aim at improving the quality of finished work. Visitors with similar interests are welcome to attend these meetings which are currently held at 7.00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month (excepting January) in the Gallery Room at the Hotel Terminus, Shepparton.
The group also undertakes projects which consist principally of providing opportunities for those interested in creative writing. These activities include:
- to get poems and stories published in Tamba - the literary magazine of the GV Writers Group Inc.
- practise the craft of writing with successful authors in a variety of workshop and seminars.
- to receive advice about getting published in various media.
- to access information from other groups with similar interests
Annual membership of The Goulburn Valley Writers' Group is $30
